While I agree that smacking a child ANYWHERE could possibly be the wrong decision...When it happens at the hall it's usually out of embarrassment, and peer pressure....ALTHOUGH ....I do think spanking has its place,. and theres a whole HEAP of kids in my neighborhood who need em...and won't get em.....and will become a bunch of little 'assholes'. sorry, but it's true, and if ya don't agree....then ya got yer eyes squinted REAL tight! The days of spanking have past....brace yourselves for the YEARS of disrespect, and the fall of values. If you disagree....show me ANY data That points otherwise........... While I disagree with angry spanks....I DO think there is a time , and place for a well place pat on the bottom!

New light on generation teaching in Feb 15 Watchtower ?

i guess that is a sign that i have deprogrammed from my 40 years in the org and loving life like never before.. anyway, i get a call from an active jw family member today who tells me there is new light in the feb 15 wt on the generaton teaching.
i looked back through a few pages of post titles and did not see anything related to this topic.

by Mincan inokay, so i'm talking to my friend on the phone, and i mention to her that i'm going to be asking my pyshiatrist for dexedrine next time i see him.
(i think i mentioned this intention other times, anyway, dexedrine is a brand name for the isolated d-isomer of amphetamine, dextroamphetamine, and it is marketed to treat adhd.
it was actually the first such stimulant to be marketed for this purpose, before ritalin and all the others.

My intention was not to diagnose your particular condition. Only to bring up the fact really, that weed is MUCH safer than self prescribing drugs. If you are not concerned with the legalities, I feel weed is a much better alternative to the possible dire consequences of mix and match self drugging. I'm sorry if you took offense to the smart - assed nature of how I tried to get my point across. I just truly feel that we are being prescribed into submission.....not in all cases...but some. Well Mincan..........I have a few things to say. First off....I REALLY feel that ADD, ADHD, ADHDFPCFRT....allllll that bull is a ploy to get creative restless folks such as yourself to become extremley reliant on the pharmaceutical Co's out there.....as well as MASS crowd control on a global scale ie....'don't go thinkin fer yourself there junior, you'll just cause us some trouble. Here, take some of these, and cogitate on why you have this weird behavioral problem...' I sense from your writing that you are really convinced you have a problem. so look up all the side effects on all the meds you are taking......THEN....smoke some weed.....I think the only TRUE side effect will be thirst....so grab a friggin bottled water so as not ta poison yerself....sit back, get high.....and RELAX.....DON'T WORRY...tomarrow you'll be hyper, and full of ideas for change as well.....that shtuff doesn't go away with weed.....it just waits in the wings... STOP trying to have a problem, and go out and be awake.

by Princess Daisy Boo infirst a bit of background (in case you are not familiar with my family history)... my mom is 68, my dad is 63. they run their own small business which involves my dad travelling all over the country and my mom running the office.
my dad is an insulin dependant diabetic and my mom suffers from chronic high blood pressure.
my only sibling is a sister who is 27 and lives in bethal.she is a housekeeper and her husband repairs the shoes there.. today i call my mom to say hi... the conversation goes something like this..... me: so when are you going back to work mom?.

after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

I once read a book....I can't remember the title, nor the author.....( I know...real helpful huh...)anyways, the author was agnostic, and an accomplished physcisist (sp) ...He used a law called 'The law of specificity'...which basically says... something is so complicated,and 'specific', that the only way it could come about by chance it would take x amount of years.....he used the human dna....and came to the conclusion that for something as complicated, and specific as the human dna to come about by chance.....the universe as we know it would have to be a WHOLE LOT OLDER..... ...... he came to the conclusion that there must have been some sort of intelligent hand involved in creation....he called it 'Logos'...For us to just have evolved, the universe is just not old enough.....even monkeys shakin boxes haven't had enough time..... I am still an agnostic....but it does make ya think......comments anyone?
